Cornerstone Church Cambodia’s First English Youth Camp
From July 6 to 8, 2025, Cornerstone Church Cambodia hosted its very first English youth camp at the peaceful Amarak Farm, gathering young people from across the community under the theme “Are You Roasted or Rooted in Christ?” This event brought together youth for 3 days and 2 nights of worship, learning, and fellowship in a setting surrounded by God’s creation. The camp marked an important milestone in the church’s mission to disciple the next generation and equip them to stand firm in their faith.
The theme challenged participants to reflect deeply on their spiritual walk. To be “roasted” symbolizes being consumed, distracted, or burnt out by the world’s pressures, while being “rooted” points to a life anchored in Christ, nourished by His Word, and strengthened through prayer and fellowship. Through engaging sessions, small group discussions, and workshops, the youth explored what it truly means to grow strong roots in Christ that can withstand life’s trials.

Beyond the teaching sessions, the camp was filled with joyful activities that built unity and friendships. Youth participated in team games, worship nights, and life skills, all designed to foster bonds of trust and community. Many shared that the highlight of their experience was the opportunity to worship freely in English alongside their peers, discovering new ways to express their love for God through both song and service.
Amarak Farm proved to be the perfect backdrop for this spiritual retreat. The natural beauty of the countryside reminded campers of God’s creation, while the quiet atmosphere offered space for reflection and prayer. For many of the youth, it was their first time attending an overnight camp, and the sense of adventure combined with spiritual growth left a lasting impression. The youth camp was not just about fun and fellowship but about encountering Christ in a personal and powerful way.

As the camp concluded, the message was clear: Cornerstone Church Cambodia is investing in the future of its young people by encouraging them to be firmly rooted in Christ. The camp’s success is only the beginning of many more opportunities to nurture youth leaders, strengthen faith, and impact the community for the Kingdom of God. The call to the youth remains—don’t be roasted by the world, but be rooted in the everlasting love of Christ.
